The Cross-Country Collaboration Making Sense of Tech

In an interstate collaboration with both crew and client, this intensive project pulled out all the stops. For over 20 years, Accenture and BP have worked together to achieve symbiotic contribution to the success of both businesses and their futures. Optimising productivity through digital innovation, Accenture has help BP become one of the largest oils and gas companies, servicing more than 90 countries around the world.

Entrusting Cobox with the development of a creative internal sales tool, we pitched an ‘all access’ case study depicting the innovation implementation at BP’s Western Australia plant. Voiced by key leaders in the practice, the goal of this film was to simplify the complex tech story and create and informing and engaging sales tool.

Tackling the geographic and logistic challenges of this production, we called on our extensive network of creatives to organise a crew on the ground in WA. Director Aaron Petersen and Producer Sarah Linton made the trip from our Sydney studio to lead DOP Michael Elsegood and sound operator Gavin Repton through the one-day shoot. With access to the plant only granted for one day, the pressure was on as the team conducted four in-depth interviews with company leaders on top of shooting interior and exterior production overlay. Conscious of working in the dangerous environment, safety was the team’s number one priority and, in compliance with safety guidelines, head to toe safety gear was worn for the duration of the shoot.
In true Cobox form, we bunkered down and made it happen thanks to our rigorous pre-production processes and talented crew who understand the importance of quality and efficiency. The seamless integration of scenic drone footage and beautifully shot imagery of the implementation and success of technologies showed the diverse platform of Accenture’s capabilities. Paired with text graphics and visual prompts, our motion designer, James Anderson, incorporated real-world instances demonstrating definitive and physical impacts of the unique partnership. We were thrilled to be able to share the success of Accenture’s exclusively developed innovations and BP’s globally recognised operations.
