The legacy behind an iconic Australian brand

Tip Top Bakeries

Australia’s leading brand of bread and bakery products had a story to share about who makes up the wider family of Tip Top Bakeries. Everyone involved has a purpose and a passion.

Sydney based agency Saltmine Creative explored ways to share these stories through five profile pieces identifying the different stages of producing Tip Top Sunblest. Production company ShotBox Films was financed to travel many parts of outback Queensland and capture each story with a stunning backdrop.

Our motto is that we treat our land as though it was not a gift from fathers, but a loan from sons.

- Charles, Wheat Farmer

Charles the Farmer

Charles is passionate about growing the wheat that makes Tip Top Sunblest bread. This sense of emotion needed to carry through to each profile piece and highlight how there is a wider family behind the brand. Director Robbie Moore identified the key aspects of each contributors role and introduced most of them are run by long-standing family businesses.
obox welcomed the range of rushes and eagerly jumped at editing. The kit included close up frames to help contain the detail in processes, low angle shots showing the enormity and scale of farms and operations, and drone shots to encapsulate the stunning scenery. Editor, Josh Mehmet, first concentrated on editing together a succinct story for each profile, then coloured in with the stunning overlay shots that really pulled everything together. The five profile stories were distributed through Tip Top Bakeries social channels and positioned front and centre on their website.
